	Quality Control

Datatech Australia has implemented a structured quality control system across all aspects of our operations.

Whilst we have not sought an external audit, our system is fully compliant with ISO9002 and regularly appraised by our Quality Manager. This includes weekly visits to all sites to ensure both OH & S and all procedures are being adhered to.

Our commitment does not stop with a series of binders on a shelf in an office, we integrate quality into every aspect of our business values and ultimately into our personnel and services.

	Testing

Datatech Australia has a 100% test policy. Every telecommunications cable installed by Datatech Australia will be tested to ensure correct installation and adherence to Australian Standards.

Test results are generally presented as part of any as installed documentation. Where documentation is not requested all test results are kept for 2 years on our computer system.

Datatech Australia test all telecommunications cabling using standards compliant Fluke DSP 4100 cable scanners. Our cable scanners are regularly checked and calibrated annually to ensure that all cable tests are carried out to the highest possible standard.

Utilising our own test equipment including OTDR and Power meter equipment we ensure all optical fibre installations comply to the specification of the intended hardware manufacturers specifications.

	Documentation

When required, Datatech Australia will supply 'As Installed' documentation as part of each project. The type of documentation and cabling test results will depend on the quantity and format in which the documentation is specified by the client. As a minimum all cabling is fully tested using appropriate test equipment.

The documentation will generally consist of:

Site connectivity schematic diagram.
Site plans marked to show:
o Catenary and cable tray routes.
o Outlet locations.
o Outlet numbering.
o Building distributor and/or floor distributor locations.
UTP test results.
Optic fibre results.
Other documentation ie: manufacturers information, warranty documents, and instructional materials.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) floor plans are normally only supplied with the "As Installed" documentation if the base building plans in DXF or DWG format are supplied by the client at the beginning of the project.

	Standards

Datatech Australia is committed to providing Standards compliant installations for all customers on every project.

Our participation in the NECA Teledata Group and BICSI allow Datatech Australia a voice in how the telecommunications standards and workplace practices are developed and implemented.

We are conversant with and our installations are compliant with the following standards as appropriate:
